Classic mistakes
of small websites
The small business website faces a lot of
challenges. It has to:
a) Punch above its weight - by portraying the small
business comprehensively and professionally;
b) Answer "Why You?" - the question every internaut
asks upon landing on a new page;
c) It has to be a marketing animal to stand a chance of
being found.
However, small businesses are not big businesses
with dedicated internet and marketing departments. So
they tend to possess a mindset based on a physical-world sales
model (which they are used to) and don't tend to have much

Staying positive is essential in today's
market.
We are being bombarded by the press's opinions of
economic reality: from news of redundancies to surveys of gloom and
decreasing levels of confidence and trust. It creates a
tremendous imbalance in perspective and disposes us towards "not
trying".
We're over-focussed on 800 job losses at BMW Mini and
not the 2000 jobs created at ASDA; on the 10 billion loss disclosed
by HBOS and not on BP's 7 billion profit. Closer to Europe;

How can one therefore stay positive in these tough
times? Read more...
Sites of interest this
month
As well as doing free "Searchability" reviews, we have
been involved with three very different sites this
month:
Domaine Chater
Our initial SEO review for “Domaine Chater “ has
produced some fantastic search results for them this month,
resulting in some Google Page 1 Position 1 rankings
for even relatively generic search terms. The aim is of course
to consolidate this positioning and drive some really halthy traffic
and business to the site.
Check out Award-winning French Duras Wines at
http://www.Domainechater.com to see and purchase their products on line. We wish
their web rankings well in the coming
months!
Cheers!

Xoom
Hire
We are re-building Xoomhire's Pay Per Click advertising
strategy from scratch. Xoom's challenges come from being a new,
small entrant in a very large, very competitive global market.
How can a new entrant even compete when the "Obvious words" sell for
up to $20 just for a single click? Well, we're
doing it!
See http://www.xoomhire.com and why not use them next time you want to find the
best car rental deal from over 100 rental
companies?
